Had put off watching 28 Years Later to watch this month and an hour or so in I wish I’d put it off for, well, 28 years or I dunno, forever? It’s fecking wojus.

Will attempt to watch another 31+ horror movies this October. But you know what kinda horror movie I don’t want to watch? The kind where “the lines between reality and fantasy start to blur”.

Just watched this Jeff Buckley documentary. Slightly irksome directing style to it but was otherwise very enjoyable. And quite sad, of course.

Lying poolside in Mallorca, it’s 29°c and I’m reading a book I first read 33 years ago, the first Amtrak Wars book. Maybe it’s the circumstances but I’m thoroughly enjoying it, half-expected it to be bloody awful when not read through the eyes of a 15 year old.

Undoubtedly the highlight of that Mock the Week clip I’ve been sent 3 times today is when an Englishman jokes about the Irish being hungry. Lols all ‘round.

Just rewatched Sweet Smell of Success and I dunno man, it was in my top 10, I think it’s in my top 5 now.

Just watched the new Naked Gun and sorry to say I thought it was pretty awful. I chuckled a couple times, I guess, but mostly just stared blankly at the screen. Comedies do kinda need some comedy actors, I guess.

Watched the second episode of Alien: Earth and man, imagine being given Alien to work a tv show with and choosing to make ANOTHER SUPERHERO STORY.

Granted I’ve only watched one episode but Disney’s Alien Earth is giving me Netflix’s Resident Evil vibes. Irredeemably shit vibes.

I don’t know if it still has cultural relevance but I know I still like it. ‘suppose that might say more about my own personal cultural relevance than anything else.

Watched the first episode of #Murderbot and, ehhh, not sure. The humour a bit flat, and constant bloody voiceover annoying as ever.

Watching Jurassic World Rebirth atm and it’s truly one of the worst movies I’ve seen in years. Maybe decades.

I liked *this* movie.

Rewatching all of the X-Men movies and tonight we watched The Wolverine, which is almost a good movie but not quite. It made me jones for watching an actually good Japanese movie though, and well, here I am, watching 13 Assassins for maybe the 13th time.

Our neighbour Alma was one of these legends. I didn’t really grasp the cause at the time but I remember everyone having the greatest respect for her in neighbourhood. I had no idea it lasted so long, shameful.

The joke will be on us when we all have to listen to the bland song #Coldplay write about that cheating couple.

Accidentally dragged the lead off the lawn mower over some poppies growing in the garden and took all the heads off them… Tiocfaidh ár lá.

Two fledgling seagulls fell from their nest on the roof of the office and are in the carpark screaming their jaysus heads off all day. Meanwhile dozens of office workers are inside the building screaming their heads off at spreadsheets, etc The seagulls, at least, have help on the way.

I think I’ll remember Michael Madsen best as “the guy who I always mixed up with Tom Sizemore but was way better than Tom Sizemore”. Seriously though, I liked him a lot. RIP
