So it’s very cold in FL, I didn’t leave my house yesterday and don’t wanna leave today but I need detergent and I’m supposed to have a date later… 🫤

So a couple months ago I put the book King of Ashes on hold on the Libby app and it became available but because the reviews said it was a heavy read and life was heavy at the time I suspended the hold. I unsuspended it yesterday and it’s available and I checked it out. #blackbooksky #booksky

Every time I see a video of someone who is late diagnosed ADHD and take the meds and their response. I chuckle because ..same..The WTF will always be the accurate response 🤣🤣

Back at the house, ate and settled. Took my meds and waiting for it to tell me if it’s nap time or productivity time 🤣

At this rooftop bar waiting on the rest of our party and the weather kinda tricked me because the way these temps dropped. We’re inside but I’m sitting near a window 🫤

I’m so glad I changed the wallpaper to the February one I made on my iPad and other phone but I haven’t done it on my main phone because it’s still two days left in January and it would be weird right? But then again I’m over the month of January 🤷🏾‍♀️

Back home and I got about 20 minutes before I gotta start my getting ready process. We made plans last week and I was hoping they wanted to cancel today 🤣

ADHD meds got me weighing the pros and cons for it daily. And honestly the biggest con isn’t really a con per se and more like being uncomfortable with dropping the masking. ADHD meds got the autism becoming more front and center. 🤔

10 minutes before I gotta leave the house and start the 2nd half of my day 😩

I made my February wallpaper for my devices and I love it so much 🫶🏾

The phase when you’re not sure if a medication is working or not is stressful 😩

The one from my mom, we’re actually closer as adults. My daddy kids. Ion even know them like that.

So I’m new to this being medicated thing and I’m trying to figure out how to find the words to speak to my therapist about trying to find the right fit as far as medication while not wanting to be looked at a certain way.

But I’m not going to dwell too much on that lol

So today has been a very relaxing and introspective day because I have been trying to navigate my feelings. This growing older with life changing things happening is a lot. Then you throw in watching your kids get older especially to the age that they made you a mother and 🤯

Today is the day my first born turn the age I was when I had him and I’m in my feelings. It’s surreal because it felt like yesterday but he’s 20 year old 🥹💗

Also skipped the gym today because I had to run errands after drop offs and I don’t like to eat before I work out, but I didn’t want to take my meds too late and I also don’t like to take my meds on an empty stomach

I feel like me taking a stimulant adhd med and needing to take nap or rest before the productive kicks in is further validation that the diagnosis was correct 🤣
