Veterans Suicide Prevention Week is a time to honor veterans we have lost to suicide & raise awareness. Last week, we held a Witting Tree ceremony at Eagleville Park, which is open for viewing until Oct. 4. We placed 17 dog tags to symbolize the number of veterans we lose daily.

Last Friday, we held a ceremonial flag raising at the Montgomery County Courthouse to recognize the veterans we have lost to suicide and to acknowledge Veteran Suicide Prevention Week here in Montgomery County.

Please join us today at 12 p.m. (noon) as we host our ceremonial United States flag-raising in recognition of Veteran Suicide Prevention Week (Sept. 25 - Oct. 2) at the Montgomery County Courthouse.

Last week, I attended the District 5 Behavioral Health Regional Summit with local legislators and officials from Montgomery, Bucks, Delaware, and Chester Counties, as well as Philadelphia.

Folks, the Trump Administration has proposed rescinding the 2009 Greenhouse Gas Endangerment Finding. Not only is this just flat out reckless, it also promotes political aspirations over known, recognized scientific facts.

Reminder! The Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program deadline has been extended to December 31, 2025. This program, which is eligible to older adults and people with disabilities 18 years or older, supports homeowners and renters across PA with rebate ranging from $380 to $1,000.

I was in the Pentagon 24 years ago today as our nation was under attack. I saw the professionalism from our first responders, and I saw our nation come together.

Today is September 11, a day of remembrance in our country. 24 years ago, we tragically lost 2,977 people from terror attacks in New York City, Washington D.C., and Shanksville, Pennsylvania.

Last Friday, I attended an event at Washington Memorial Chapel to celebrate the National Park Service’s birthday, the upcoming 50th anniversary of Valley Forge’s designation as a national historical park and to build momentum toward our nation’s very own 250th anniversary in 2026
