Happy Thanksgiving! This is the first year I have no plans for the big dinner as I’m at a new school. However, I am off the the Natural History Museum with a small group of amazing students this afternoon, so that will be fun.

I would love to green up the chemistry practicals we do, especially at A level for PAGs. We teach OCR A for what it’s worth. Anyone working on this? Beyond Benign has great ideas www.beyondbenign.org but is a US focus. #ChatChemistry

Some favourite Iceland photos from last month.

In August, we moved from Milton Keynes to Horsham in West Sussex. I left a small MAT secondary school to become Head of Chemistry at an incredible independent school. In the first ten weeks, I've had a chance to march in London with the school and go on a school trip to Iceland.

My husband got a Seestar S50 a couple of weeks ago, so of course it’s been cloudy most nights since then, but he got a great shot of the waxing gibbous moon last Wednesday.
