Took a break from working on YOTD lookups to work on my icon who can hear lies 🥁🥁🥁 Kanoko from Usotoki Rhetoric!!! Gosh she was hard! Her glasses? That was a struggle. Her outfit? I based it off the 1st volume & it’s a lil intricate 😭 I think she turned out nice tho! (If you know her you’re iconic)

the 1st episode of This Monster Wants To Eat Me was honestly soooo good. I’m shocked that the animation not only looked pretty but it stuck pretty closely to the manga. I like the VA’s performance for Hinako, somber & solemn with underlying hints of sadness

These two would make a POWERFUL duo! Just imagine the monster meals they’d make together!

Saying you refuse to read shojosei is also saying you refuse to read ANY manga aimed for women/girls. If you can’t recognize at least a tinge of misogyny there, you should think a bit deeper. If you don’t like certain genres, cool, but shojo’s diverse! Give some a try!

I really do wish Girl Crush was under shojo beat (especially since it’s not under anything special like VIZ signature) because now people are telling me it’s not shoujo because it’s not under shojo beat…

the second volume of The Failure at God School solidified this as one of my favorite new shoujo releases!!! I love Nagi and the whole crew, especially Miruru and Touta so far. This is gonna be perfect for fans of classic shoujo like Gakuen Alice or even new shonen like My Hero.

I just checked out a new josei manga from Kiss magazine, Black Sheep: Paranormal Intelligence Unit! It’s an alien mystery so I can’t wait to explore the plot/world! I like the character designs! They look cool & it’s set in NYC so it’s nice that there’s some diversity (including background ppl).

Two of fav magical girls Peony & Dandelion really have been through hell, but they keep fighting! Magical Girl Dandelion really is an ACTION series & I’m here for it! I really like the characters & world! + I’m still not over the fact we have a magical boy in an iconic outfit!

So I love them so much it’s actually insane!!! I was not expecting to like “Re-Living My Life with a Boyfriend Who Doesn't Remember Me” SO much! The title didn’t pull me in but the art is amazing so I gave it a go & now seeing their relationship grow?! The side characters?! I’M OBSESSED!

Kashimashi Meshi is so good! It’s about three 28 year olds, whose life isn’t turning out how they expected, that surprisingly meet again. There’s a lot of beauty in this series that hits deeply and will probably just hit harder as I get closer & closer to their age. Just wow! 💓

Too Perfect Saint might've flown under the radar for many, but I'm here to let you know that this anime only gets better and better with every passing episode. Do you want a revenge story? A love story? A story about self-love? Too Perfect Saint has them.

There’s so much I love in Noragami but seeing Yato learn about the softness and beauty of life after being used and manipulated by Father’s distain for it warms my heart! No wonder Sakura stayed in his mind all this time… she truly changed his life forever!

The Eccentric Doctor of the Moonflower kingdom really is a fun read (it certainly gets serious too though, especially with backstories)! I love having a chaotic lead who also grows along the way! +The art is stunning! I’m so happy we get color pages in the English physicals!

My favorite new anime this season might be The Too-Perfect Saint! I was just expecting a healing journey for Philia, & while that’s a part of it, there was much more! I love how they focused on both sisters’ unique growth in their respective kingdoms! I love that they focused on both Philia & Mia!

I’ve been rereading Colette Decides to Die with the new Offical English translation and goodness it’s so beautifully done! I adore Colette and her relationship with Hades! In my perfect world it would have an anime but I’m just happy I can have English physicals now!
