an older patron just told me that my desk is the most helpful and he really appreciates that we answer all his book questions. I have to say, sometimes it feels good not to be noticed as just the desk that tells people to shut the fuck up.

I think my favorite thing to do at work is book discussions so I was thrilled when nine people showed after one of our worst snowstorms ever. 🥰

Well so far 3 people have emailed or called to find out if my discussion is still happening so that’s good. 19 minutes until it starts ✨

So as of now, library is opening at 1pm even though every school district in the area is still closed and nearly every library is closed nearby..have to serve the community so they have a place to study. I wonder how many senior women will show up to my discussion? 1? 2? zero? 😢
