I'm currently working on my rough draft of the Goldenrod Underground. My plan is to match the exits and scale of the paths as 1:1 to the city. Underground paths and subway stations are always confusing to navigate, but I hope with an accurate representation, and a map, it won't be so bad. 🙏

3/4 of my Goldenrod City remake is complete! The "Shopping District" is divided in half. From the Central District, you can access the main stores & the sewer Wild Zone. Through the Underground you'll reach the other half, complete with more stores and an abandoned Takoyaki restaurant Wild Zone! ✨

I was watching random things on Youtube and stumbled across the original DS era launch trailer of my favorite game of all time: The World Ends With You. I'll probably delete this later, but my plan for Goldenrod City is to split it into 4 districts; Residential, Growth, Shopping, and Entertainment, each with their own Wild Zone building. I'll also add more exits to the Underground, create a sewer system, and give each tall building a rooftop map. ✨️

Now, 2/4 of my Goldenrod City remake is complete! I like to call this portion of the city the "Growth District." Head to Whitney's Gym for some personal growth, maybe to the flower shop cafe for some knowledge on botanical growth, or go to the old shrine turned Wild Zone for some spiritual growth. ✨

I finished 1/4 of Goldenrod City for my project: Pokémon Legends S-G! From the Magnet Station to the Radio Tower and the Underground entrance, it's a familiar space. A small residential area, it also has a post office and apartments; one is in use, while the others are abandoned, now Wild Zones! ✨

Looking over the buildings in Goldenrod, some are only 2x2 in size, which isn't a scale I can easily work with. Rather than change the layout or the city's scale, I'll merge a couple nearby small buildings into one. This will mean less overall buildings, yet still more to explore than before. ✨

So the question is, how do you make a Legends ZA-type game in a city like Goldenrod which is so much tinier than Lumios? That's the fun part of the challenge! Similar to Castelia in B2W2, you just add pieces that theoretically exist; like sewers, rooftops, alleys, and new interiors. Should be fun! 😁
