Sea Animals Trio by Puntini Puntini This was one of those stitches where I made myself do the borders first because if I didn’t, I would’ve stopped after the first one. Stitched on 18ct Aida I dyed myself and with the called for floss. I added beads for the bubbles #CrossStitch

The adorable Strawberries for Susan by Cosford Rise Stitchery. I love Susan’s bow. I stitched this on 18ct Fog Aida by Picture this Plus using a mix of the called for DMC and overdyed floss from stash. #CrossStitch I feel like I’ve made a bajillion pillows this year 😂

Dreaming Queen Bee by Barbara Ana Designs Fabric: 18ct wheat Aida by Fiber on a Whim Floss: mostly the called for except stash overdyed instead of the called for colour variations.

Classic Colorworks Sticks & Twigs is the perfect house spider colour because whenever I look down and see this, I jump out of my skin even though I put it there.

Stitching with one strand on 20ct feels so weird since two strands on 18ct is my usual preference - but I do love 20ct Aida. I’ll definitely be using it more this year.

Spring Time by SubRosa Designs is finished. We’ve had some lovely spring weather here the past few days and I’m almost tempted to switch my displays over from winter but I’m going to try and hold out until the equinox. #crossstitch

More cross stitch fabric dying. I will never be without Taupe rit dye because you can add it to any colour and get lovely dusky vintage looking fabric colours. This time I used bright green, orange, pink and light blue. These are going to be great for Autumnal projects.

I feel like I’m in a season of big books and small (for me) cross stitch projects. 2000 - 3000 stitches is my current Goldilocks zone which is good because I won’t have to frame the finishes now I know how to do pillow finishes.

I think I have most of the Tiny Modernist Mouse patterns and now that I know I put together a not terrible pillow finish I will be stitching them all. This one is called Mouse’s Snow Day. I stitched it from stash on some 18ct zweigart aida that I dyed myself.

The adorable Sleeping Baby Fox from Jan/Feb 2017 edition of Just Cross Stitch Magazine is finished. In the magazine it’s a nighttime scene but I really wanted to use this Falling Snow aida from Fabric Flair for this so my baby Fox is just catching a few more zzzz before waking up. #crossstitch
