I have some huge news to share! Last night, the Alameda County Democratic Party officially endorsed my campaign to continue serving as your District Attorney. As a lifelong Democrat, I could not be more proud of this endorsement.

Our campaign for District Attorney is uniting labor organizations, Democratic clubs, and advocacy organizations committed to uplifting the rights of workers, protecting reproductive rights, and advancing the inclusive values of Alameda County.

I had the honor of attending the 25th Anniversary Unity Dinner of the Indo-American Community Federation this weekend alongside many Bay Area leaders. It was great to see our community coming together to celebrate our diversity and continued collaboration with one another.

Last night I attended a showing of The Apology at the Alameda Theatre and Cineplex! This documentary presents a fascinating and important history of Black excellence and resiliency in Alameda County that deserves more awareness. Highly recommended.

I believe that public safety is something that we all have a right to. We have a right to be safe in our community.

Yesterday, I joined Democratic Party delegates and elected officials across the Bay Area at a pre-California Democratic Party Convention mixer. It was great to connect with so many leaders in our community, including Alameda County Supervisor Lena Tam and Alameda County Sheriff Yesenia Sanchez.

I am honored to announce that East Bay Stonewall Democratic Club has endorsed my candidacy to continue serving as your District Attorney! They are the first Democratic club and first LGBTQ+ rights organization to weigh in on this race.

So I am saying to you this: This is probably - other than being a parent, child, and a mother - this is the privilege of my life. I have loved every job I've had, but this one I sleep at night knowing that there are people who are depending on me and I take that seriously.

[This job] is making sure that victims know that you got them. You have their back and you’re going to do everything you possibly can to give them whatever justice looks like for them. That’s what I stand for. I wouldn’t be doing this job if not.

In Alameda County, we don’t need the Super Bowl to know we have a human trafficking problem. Addressing it in a comprehensive and holistic way will remain one of my highest priorities now and into the future.

In 2025, our office was able to secure new funding to protect victims through the Alameda County Family Justice Center and the Trauma Recovery Center. The services provided by these centers help our residents access legal, medical, and social resources when impacted by interpersonal violence.

Addressing gun violence in our community remains one of my top priorities. Our office ensured that Alameda County was one of four California counties selected for the AB 1344 Gun Violence Restraining Order Pilot Program!

Today, I have huge news: Attorney General Bonta has endorsed our campaign to continue serving as District Attorney! I hope to continue working closely with Attorney General Bonta in the years ahead to improve public safety in our county, but I must win in 2026 to make that happen.

This past year, we established an Alameda County Organized Retail Theft Task force, targeting organized, repeat offenders who hurt local businesses. The scale of this problem has been unacceptable in recent years, and there are now consequences in Alameda County.

Rebuilding the District Attorney’s office with seasoned professionals is a top priority of mine in my first term as DA. I’m proud to report that returning members to the District Attorney’s Office bring 569 years of experience to the table!

This week I charged a former East Bay private school principal on suspicion of wage theft, tax evasion and embezzlement from teachers and parents.

Senator Jesse Arreguín, Chair of the Public Safety Committee, has endorsed my campaign to continue serving as DA! We’ve had regular check-ins on public safety priorities. A professional and focused District Attorney’s office is a vital piece of the puzzle, but I know I can’t do this alone.

But for the sacrifice, I would have no shoulders upon which to stand. Giving honor and paying homage to the man that sought change and peace for all of us.

I have some exciting news! I am proud to announce that all 14 Alameda County Mayors have endorsed my campaign for Alameda County District Attorney. This campaign will be a long journey, but knowing that these leaders have trust in me to seek justice for their residents means the world to me.

The death of Renee Nicole Good is a tragedy that we all mourn. We pray for her family and friends as they move through this season of grief.
