Hard to believe I’m almost a half century old today. Had Thai for lunch, then went to see Project Hail Mary with my family and friends and afterwards checked out a small antique mall. It was nice. I managed to find a couple treasures I can’t live without. All in all it was a pretty good birthday.

There must’ve been a supply of new oldstock on these Dukes of Hazard watched because I feel like I finds a handful at each show I attend. I always grab them too because they tend to be hot sellers at the fleas I vend at.

Sent a few cards in to be graded and this was my favorite that I got back.

Had a really good time in Chicago. Watched a film, went to a historic jazz bar, saw Sue, the largest T-Rex, and checked out a cool comic shop. Need to go back during the summer to catch some baseball.

Picked up a new book today. Now to actually read it and try to make some art instead of what usually happens, which is the new book finding a spot on my bookcase and looking like I am an art reference depot..

Saw Send Help on Friday and had a good time. Unhinged moments, Sam Raimi hitting his high notes, and the ridiculous premise of an unattractive Rachel McAdams. Hit up some flea markets on Valentines morning. It was pretty lackluster but then as I was leaving a little junk market, I spied this in a bundle of video game publications and quickly shelled over the three bucks. If you are very meticulous, you too can program your own games on an old Apple.

Didn’t get too much media for Christmas this year but the pieces I did get are pretty sweet. Can’t wait to finally watch this Corman classic. And the Animaniacs add to my growing library of 80’s and 90’s animation.

One of my friends used to make nerd centric stained glass works and I had always wanted one but he stopped before I got a chance to buy one from him. My wife saw that he had some older pieces for sale in an antique store and surprised me with this one for Christmas!

This Stonewall Kitchen Cinnamon Apple Jelly had been on my Amazon list ever since I heard @dinosaurdracula.bsky.social and @sludgecentral.bsky.social talking about it on an old episode of Purple Stuff. Now I need to grab some Chicken McNuggets to try it myself.

Todays weird thrift find. Apparently its was a gag gift and not an actual attempt at marketing pantyhose to men. I grabbed it because of the cool vintage box art.
