Part of the reason I put off drawing Captain Fulghor is because he’s meant to have a mount, which added another layer of difficulty T-T so I just decided to start with him alone His mount is an armoured woolly rhinoceros, her name is Gaia. It’s fucking cool but I don’t know when I’ll depict it.

I’m researching names and meanings (for no reason at all, I’m totally not on continuous bullshit ahem) and I saw that Abigail originates from a name meaning “my father is joy”, which I had no idea about but fits so unbelievably amazingly well that it looks intentional

Procrastinating a mildly challenging anthro design by pivoting to something completely different and technically harder

I have instantly regretted starting a drawing that involves repeated patterns, with extremely slight variation

Hardly any changes to her main design, just Lady Anathaema being menacing, but I also went and made a simple design of what she looked like when she was still a young noble in Vetrheim, before the crispening

I’ve thought about doing an opposite of the bad ending au designs, where instead it’s like “villains redeemed” and I portray what they’d be like as good guys instead It might also produce straight up spoilers for certain character backstories though lol

It's a thought that cropped up while I was writing a tumblr post, but I'd say Anathaema has become the flamboyant, cathartic, "love to hate" villain of Nohria, whereas Camilla has become a monster that can't even be revered, yet certain people in the narrative do

Starting a planned villain kick, a general update/polish of Camilla’s design, main addition is the new chestplate design, which I really quite like (The axe also didn’t get shrunk by any meaningful amount)

The aesthetics of Nohria and Bölverk have soundly landed in a not-strictly medieval fantasy, and I think this is where I've always settled with D&D in general. There will be attire or professions as far up as victorian or even prohibition (see Mr. Green), but they don't feel necessarily out of place
