As much as I adore renpy as an out-of-the-box solution to VNs, it’s got the unfortunate combo of being both ugly and also very painful to change enough that your VN feels distinct.

I HATE how fragile character consistency is. Like, nudging a single facial feature a tiiiiiny bit is the difference between looking exactly like the character or like an entirely different person.

I prefer third-person past tense for novels, but I think first person present works better for visual novels.

I miss learning a language. I haven’t touched Japanese in a long time, but I frequently get the urge to pick it back up

I’m experimenting with colors and value more because I love when artists use a variety of colors in the shadows. I think it works a lot better when the values aren’t so dark, and like 90% of this drawing is dark so my experimentation barely shows up
