Lighting practice that I'm trying to make a little more complex since the tutorial was in a very simplified style. Gonna need refs to correct parts of these lmao but forcing myself to think more about the form was a good exercise. (Proud of how well his likeness came out without a ref too lol)

Some art goals for this year: -Get back to anatomy studies (I kinda stopped doing that regularly for a while and have forgotten stuff) -Coloring (once again), I still suck at it so much -Find a way to hate the lineart phase less lol

Made another OotD drawing, Sonic 3 viewing edition. The return of the Uniqlo dress + shirt + belt combo but EDGY. Hopefully I can color it tomorrow

Doing some random doodling and Setsuna came out. I need to rewatch Gundam 00, I miss him ;;; Pretty pleased with how the face came out but I still gotta grind more. Setsuna is my progress benchmark since he has the most clusterfuck hair ever lol. I'm still bad at it without reference but we move

Copying screengrabs again and experimenting with making his hair extra swooshy. I'll definitely have to practice making the movement flow better as a whole but it was fun to try at least lol

Regrettably did not get pics of my outfit yesterday but I do have this very rough sketch at least lol (would like to color it eventually) I really need to start drawing characters I like in different outfits, trying to get all the details down in clothes is pretty fun (even if folds are hard)

Liked my outfit today so I did a self portrait. I still can't color hair for shit, and I really need to reference the cloth folds and hands next time. The proportions look kinda wack in some ways too (the arms are too short?). Came out better than expected working mostly off imagination though :O

A vision came to me while drankin' that I had to follow - what if Tsukuyomi Nahobino was based on P4U2 Tsukuyomi instead? (apologies for the shit legibility, I was working at low res again and realized too late lol. but I def wanna refine this more so he'll show up again in way more detail!)

Coloring/rendering really is my weakest point, I need to sit down and hammer out some more basics orz

Another screencap copy (improvised the hair though), this time with a quick attempt at watercolor brushes - it came out better than my usual at least! My eternal battle against understanding Nahobino's panel lines continues 🫠

Some fast screencap redraws of bat dad in a few minutes (his boots were not visible so I just spit out what I could remember lol). Might not be worth it at this stage but I do want to raise my speed and focus at jotting down important details, so I'll prolly do more like this.
