I don't normally decorate for the holidays, but a colleague gifted me the holiday candle Lego and the Hot Chocolate Stand was a gift with purchase recently. So I figured it was meant to be, plus who doesn't love an excuse to put together new Lego.

My colleague brought me some leftover Halloween candy and I'm eating more than I probably should while I watch the Federal budget broadcast on CBC with my knee up.

Kind of annoying to hear CBC justifying the drastic cuts in federal government employees. Mandatory overtime is a sign cuts will hurt Canadians.

Frustrating time for BC public servants too, having been told by the government that they have no value. The government has only offered @bcgeu.bsky.social 4% general wage increase, not 5%. Gov't is playing fast with numbers. Bailey said the ask is 12% which is a blatant lie. Never voting NDP again.

Star Trek Khan continues to impress me. I wasn't sure what to expect but it's an engaging story and I'm on the edge of my seat every week. It also reminds me of car trips with my parents when I was a kid, listening to dramas on the radio. I know my parents would love this series. #StarTrek #Khan

Today is National Truth and Reconciliation Day in Canada. The residential school system, 60s scoop, ongoing overrepresentation in the Justice and foster care system, racism and denialism that continues today all need to be acknowledged. Truth comes before reconciliation.
