Imagine being a Democratic leader who refused to endorse Mamdani, who has advocated for throwing trans people and immigrants under the bus, and who has otherwise acted like it's still 1996, and then just walking in to work today like your entire world view didn't get obliterated last night.

So I've decided to do a subscription sale for the home stretch, with 25% off the annual price. I'm calling it the "Home Stretch 25% off Subscription Sale." My refusal to read even a single marketing book saves you money!!!

In today's newsletter I wrote about how I've been fighting depression lately. Nothing matters anymore and that screws with my need for order and predictability over chaos. Baseball, however, has been helping.

The American Federation of Government Employees, which represents 800,000+ federal and D.C. workers (i.e. people directly impacted by a government shutdown), is urging senators to vote no on the House GOP's CR. In other words, AFGE is saying a government shutdown is less bad than this GOP bill.
