Hi all. Life update. So Mom was in a very bad car collision in early December. She's alive, but suffered injuries that have kept her away from home through the holidays. Trying to keep things together. I know I'm behind on some stuff. Trying to get caught up. I'll get there.

At home cleaning, organizing, and doing laundry. Put a new shelving unit in the laundry room. Trying to stay organized.

Getting ready for Dick Van Dyke's 100rh birthday

Here's the tree before anything goes on it.

Yesterday we got the Christmas tree. It's in the living room. I'll decorate, but this year just does not feel right. Mom in the hospital, and me splitting time between going to see her and all the other stuff to do..I feel like just staying in bed.

At the hospital with Mom. She's in a lot of pain. Having trouble moving her left arm. They are taking X rays right now.

Mom was just in an automobile crash. Heading there now.

A tradition that I have is obtaining a Li Buen ornament every year since I moved into my house. This is ornament #16. (On its own stand) Chosen by Fooma and I together. ❤️

My friends, it's a countdown. 12 days...yes...in 12 more days...a national treasure will reach his 100th birthday! Dick Van Dyke turns 100 on December 13! He will make it...I just know he will! And I'll celebrate!

And from breakfast this morning at our coffee shop...live guitar. :) The holidays are definitely upon is. :) Feeling festive!

For Halloween next year, I should dress as George Tsoukalos...the Ancient Aliens guy. My hair was perfect for that when I woke up today. :P

Fursuit builder PRO TIP: When making a duct tape dummy, have a roll of patterned striped tape to put along the arms and legs before you cut it off. This gives you a consistent pattern to follow when realigning the seams. It made things WAY easier when we did it. :)

Just drove out over 20 miles to go to a tea room in Dade City. Was informed that a bag of the blend we usually get will 8ncrease from $19 a bag to $50 a bag due to tariffs. Guess what tea I won't be getting anymore. :( Hoping they don't go out of business.

It's starting to get spoopy outside. :)

Yesterday was such a good day. Spent lots of time with @foomaring.otter-space.com , walked area Lake Eola downtown, had a nice cheese/tea in the afternoon, dinner with friends, and watched "Monster Squad" for a Halloween movie. :)

Cleaning my room and closet. Trying to clear out at least 1 full wastebasket at a time. Shredding old paperwork. Throwing out unneeded boxes. Slowly making progress. :)

Kind of a shot in the dark here. I ran into someone with a donkey fursona at Megaplex. His nickname started wirh "Haw" and he is from north Florida. Panhandle I think. Anyone know who he is? Wanted to catch up with him.

I simply cannot express how much I love @foomaring.otter-space.com When we're together...every day is a song, every meal an adventure, and every moment is a memory. Just sitting next to him brings me more joy than I can describe.

Yesterday, for giggles, I had a KFC make me the closest thing to the "Double Down" as they could. (Gave me Zesty Sauce for it, had to use shredded cheese instead of sliced cheese, etc.) Watching @toxxieaussie.bsky.social freak out because they made me one...but won't for him...totally worth it. :)

We went and got a swamp milkweed (native host plant for monarchs), a red Penta and a yellow lantana for the butterfly garden. :) Trying to keep the pollinators happy.

Finally caught a good photo of the zebra longwing in the garden! He's feeding on a zinnia! :)

Forgot to unpack a couple of things from #anthrocon. My rillerboa4d smells like an amazing cup of coffee! :)
