here's an
@e18e.dev
tool to summarise and visualise v8 deoptimisations. with `npx @e18e/deopt your_script.js`, you basically get a UI served up locally which shows where v8 deoptimised your code. you can also use `npx @e18e/deopt --md your_script.js` to get a markdown summary

i don't mind people using ai to add features or fix stuff in open source. but reviews still need a human on the other end. it's annoying when i leave feedback and someone just dumps it straight into an llm to "address" it, no discussion at all.

the e18e-cli helped me catch an issue that we had with lockparse, where the bun parser bailed when an earlier dep section was missing, so later sections were never linked and the graph dropped edges β

fix(bun): preserve dependency graph edges by dreyfus92 Β· Pull Request #53 Β· 43081j/lockparse
this pr fixes bun's parser where it was returning early when an earlier dependency section was missing, so later sections never got linked so the graph lost edges.
