Great moment at church on Sunday. I asked during my reflection what was a church highlight for folks as part of looking back at 2025. A young man living with autism said out loud "I did the polar bear swim". I responded "Justin you have more guts than I do!!!" He grinned. He did this for charity.

I am not sure if the 🙏emoji is for praying or a high five...which could make using this very awkward in some situations...

I am saddened and shocked at the horrendous replies from people on the local face book pages to the post about our evening of songs of resistance. I removed the posts from there so no more hate filled comments could be posted. All the more need for this evening. We will sing even louder.

I am so excited!!! A chance for us in our rural Canadian church to invite other churches to come sing songs of resistance in solidarity with our siblings in Minneapolis and elsewhere in the US.

As a Canadian church minister...I just had a idea to try and host an evening in our church to sing peaceful songs of resistance in solidarity with our neighbors to the south in Minneapolis. I want our peaceful songs of resistance to rise and join our siblings from heart to heart.

As a Canadian clergy I have been moved to tears at the sounds of the peaceful Singing Resistance in Minneapolis. I have sat in some of these churches when I was there two different times. I would be with them flowing out into the streets if I lived there. The power of song changes hearts.

Church ministry was and is never about shaming. I fought the church and society shaming when I was a priest and I still do it now. God does not shame...God loves. If your church shames you...leave it...quickly!!!!!!!

Stopped to pick up two dz apple cider donuts from Tyronr Mills for our church soup supper tonight. I treated myself to an amazing mincemeat tart. The lady started to put it in a bag...I said "just wrap it in a napkin...I am going to eat it like a squirrel in the church parking lot before I go in".
