Someone recently commissioned me to draw Beetlejuice and Lydia as mermaids. It was such a fun idea and I had a TON of fun drawing them! Frankly anytime I get to use slime green on a piece of art I’m happy. These were drawn as companions with some possibly familiar fishy friends….

I just had to get new HB and 6B pencils for my sketching set. It turns out I use 2 sketch pencils more than any other lol.

How about some Sanrio pinup goodness? It’s Kuromi and My Melody! My Melody is pink and girly and as sweet as sunshine, Kuromi is her doppelgänger a bit punky and tough. Honestly I think they represent both sides of my personality lol.

Let’s party Monster High style with Scary Sweet 16 Draculaura and Frankie! Did a little bit of my own take on these dolls, switched up the costumes slightly but the are still scary sweet!

Sushi mermaid! She’s been hanging around for a bit, I’ve been working on her slowly for a while but I think she’s finally done. She even has a little yellow fin tuna who is a sushi chef. Classy.

It’s Young-hee the giant robotic doll from Squid Game in all her “red light/ green light” horror. Someone commissioned Squid Game art from me & the project ended up going in a different direction but she was almost done so I finished her. They requested the little heart hands & it’s pretty cute.

To celebrate the new year I’ve been slowly working on this mermaid gal while catching up on commissions, Patreon stuff & other work. I planned for her to be gold, silver & red but somehow she ended up rainbow. Maybe it’s what my brain needed. Happy New year everybody I hope it’s a great one!

As a New Year treat I snuck out of my Hobbit Hole to Dear Donuts in St Charles, IL for their filled brioche donuts. They are made fresh with delicious fillings, I got Ube for today & Strawberry for tomorrow. Also got an Ube Boba tea w mango jelly for the drive home. You NEED to go.

It’s the big day! Merry Christmas to all you amazing folks out there. Whether you are with family or alone I hope you get to do something fun, eat something nice and find a little bit of the Christmas magic.

We all celebrate the holidays in our own way. I myself have a rainbow tree full of Halloween decorations up in the living room! It’s fun and it makes me feel festive even though it’s full of Jack-o-lanterns! Life is too short, enjoy it how you see fit 💚💜
