In other news they hired a new night shift nurse for weekends! Yay. They made me train him at least partially. Boo. They fired him over the weekend for sleeping. Can’t say I’m surprised honestly. Dude is like 67, but looked pretty good for 90.

It’s crazy. This year I’ve had to perform emergency first aid on a spurting head wound, called 911 for several emergencies, nearly got hit by a tornado, a number of near-accidents in my car, been in a tight squeeze 100’ deep in the ocean, and my computer acting up is what’s giving me anxiety.

Annnnd my computer is refusing to turn on. It lights up, thinks about it, then just powers back off. I am extremely concerned, upset and worried, first thing in the morning. Yay.

I had a great idea for a cursed item.. all it does is make people just... really not want to help you. Every clerk or cashier gives you the 'ugh'.. you're always served last, it's very likely to kill you eventually when nobody helps in an emergency.. and nobody's going to help you get rid of it.

Ooooooogh getting out of bed is consistently the worst part of my day. Not for any existential reasons (though there are many,) but because that's when my spine gets to tell me about all the dumb things it did while I was asleep.

In other news, I just learned in my continuing medical education that ‘Nutcracker Phenomenon’ is a thing. It is also not what the name might lead one to think.
