The editorial instruction: be lighthearted. The MTMTE contribution was written by me with art by Kotteri (making their debut), colours by Joana Lafuente and letters by Tom B Long. I wanted a story that combined as many sitcom-Christmas-special cliches as possible, chief amongst them the “three hapless characters find a baby on their doorstep” trope. Fun fact: I didn’t know that Christmas crackers were a UK thing, so the meticulously crafted opening gag wouldn’t have made much sense to American readers. Oh well!
