Cauliflower slime mould! An essential part of the forest and nutrient recycling, when spring arrives, they puff up into these marshmallow-y forms on old logs. Then their skin cracks open to reveal a brown spore-filled pulp! Amazing? Or not your cup of tea? Let us know what you think of them!

The Bathing Ponds and Golders Hill Park have been checked and are open as normal today (Fri 13 March)after a very windy night.

The bathing ponds will close early today (Thurs 12 March) due to predicted high winds. Last entry will be 10:15am and swimmers will be asked to vacate the facility by 10:45am. Season ticket wristbands will be accepted at the Lido, which closes at 12:30am.

For safety reasons, Golders Hill Park will close at 10am tomorrow (Thurs 12 March) due to the predicted high winds. The Hill Garden and Pergola will remain closed all day. If swimming ponds are impacted we will up date in the morning and if anything changes, we'll update here.

The Parliament Hill Lido will be closing early tomorrow (Wed 25 Feb) and on Thurs 26 Febfor some filming📽️ On both days it will open from 7am and last entry will be 9am. Vacate the water by 9.30am and vacate Lido by 9.45am. There will be 2 sauna sessions - at 7am and at 8am.
