Today is the first day after a jiujitsu class that I'm not super sore. I got my ass kicked pretty hard by everyone else in the class, but I feel kinda good. Very mild limb soreness, but feeling kinda energized. Very new feeling.

I've recently started a Jiujitsu class and it's fun even if I'm pretty bad at it so far. Thankfully, I still usually end up leaving feeling pretty good about myself even after getting washed repeatedly in class.

Do people actually like not being cringe? Like, I'm always way happier when I can stop caring about being judged and just be the cringe I wanna see in the world. Obviously, not all situations are safe for doing as such. Is there really anyone who's happier when not going overboard with themselves?

A bunch of high school kids came into my place of work and were doing some TikTok dance. I made the obvious choice of joining in and was informed that I "ate it up." As one who understands the lingo of the kids, I accept this compliment and cherish it.

I'm really happy with how the top 8 card for the August Monthly Strive Showdown came out. It's one of my favorite results cards to date for sure.

I made myself a new player card in celebration of actually getting over anxiety enough to go do ranked mode. (And crushing all the way to Master with a 96.2% win rate lmao).

Made Pride themed top 8 cards for both of my June FG events and dressed my Vtuber up for the season as well. I feel compelled to go extra hard with the Pride theme considering all that's going on.

So I recently started learning another language. I've started paying for weekly lessons like has worked for me previously. I'm also trying out DuoLingo for the first time. It lives up to its stereotypes. Right at midnight, I get an email that basically says: "STUDY CHINESE, OR I BREAK YOUR KNEES!"

I hate when my phone notifies me about a picture I took on this date in the past. "Hey! Look! You were in Reykjavik having fun! Now you're at work having your soul crushed! Isn't that crazy?"

Many video games I play often are anxiety inducing in ways such as being competitive or difficult. They're often fulfilling because I can see myself improve. But for sheer happiness per hour, visual novels are my comfort games. When I'm depressed, cute otome games are often the best medicine.

One of my favorite parts of running fighting game events is being creative around them and hyping everyone up about one another. I'm impressed by the Guilty Gear anime trailer. I was expecting it to be almost entirely Sol, Sin, and the new woman, but the trailer showed a bunch of characters, which is great! The second annual FGCB NY meetup has come to a close. In total I played: GGST, GGXrdRev2, GGXXACR, GBVSR, T8, SF6, KoFXV, DBZF, and Ballz3D. It was a good few days. But holy shit is my social battery on empty right now. I love all the FGCB friends, but it's time for a few relaxation days.
