Lecture 4 of term: Diaspora, identity, and belonging.

There was standing room only today for Professor David Janzen's paper to the graduate seminar here in Oxford: 'Trauma Theories, Category Mistakes, and Postexilic Judah as a Traumatized Society'.

It was a joy to give my third lecture of the term today.

Today's Hebrew Bible/Old Testament seminar was Professor Christl Maier (Marburg): The Book of Jeremiah as a Cultural Trauma Narrative. It was fantastic to see so many participants.

I had a wonderful morning today with A-level students doing research-led outreach. I used an article which I published on Ezekiel as a springboard to a wider discussion. The students were great. Thank you to the access team and departmental colleagues for making this possible!
