When Markwayne Mullin first ran for the House, he promised to leave after 3 terms. Three terms later, he changed his mind. It was part of Mullin's evolution from political outsider to an indispensable MAGA insider, which culminated last week.

The arrests of Lemon and Fort are intended to deter journalists from doing work we need them to do, and that the First Amendment was meant to protect. DOJ should drop these prosecutions or the courts should throw them out.

Something I've been emphasizing during our TV coverage of federal agents arresting Don Lemon: The DOJ had been under intense pressure from the right, from Lemon's ideological opponents, to put him behind bars. And now the White House is using the arrest to publicly mock him.
