👋 Overdue, but I'm Cramer. Started Sentry 10+ years ago and have always been a big contributor to the software and OSS ecosystems. I still focus on emerging strategy at Sentry, but like to get my hands dirty with side projects (mostly external). Big fan of technology, whisky, and an avid gamer.

Hopped over to see what people were talking about and my feed looks like some wack conspiracy alternate reality. Cursor is fucking great btw (as are all the other advancements that will be made possible via LLMs).

I don't understand why this platform has zero monetization. Nothing's free and growing adoption with no clear way to sustain costs is an era long since gone for social media.

It’s wild that Sentry acquires more (paying) customers in one quarter than most b2b companies ever reach in their lifetime. We’re not perfect and some of those customers don’t have a great experience, but the scale is amazing to see.

The problem has not been _how_ to build software for quite a long time, it’s simply _what_ to build. Fancy code gen ain’t gonna solve that.

Not sure what it is (maybe slight diff circles), but I find the conversation here to be far less compelling. A lot of circular talk of how the platform is great and people promoting the platform, but honestly not much that seems compelling in any authentic way.
