Today I have the fun of wearing jeans that aren't altered yet. The pockets are laughably shallow. The waistband is too wide. There's not enough fabric in the seat. This combo means even with a belt, I need a long shirt to keep from flashing underwear if I bend or sit. At least I *can* fix them. Sigh

Working on my Bat Mobile again. The Bat is from Nightspirit Studio's Gothic Ornaments: Bat. The canvas is black plastic, 7 count. "Thread": now-discontinued Encore DK from Plymouth in 208/white 217/black 999/dark red and 1386/bright red. Hoping for 8-12 bats, will depend on when the yarn runs out.

I will finish my 40ct linen project, Dreaming of Autumn Leaves. I detest the fabric enough that "finished" = the first 2 pages, with mods to make it work. As I have 20 stitches in Dog's Declaration on similar linen, I'm restarting on 18ct celadon rather than hate another project I want done!

FFO! So rare for me, things usually just get tossed in the archival binders.

Today I'm trying to finish my 2nd January Wipgo, the Epic Fandom Band Sampler. Finished all of Band 4. My goal is 2000 stitches/month. I'm at 2,658 backstitches. I usually count 2 bs = 1 stitch, but this whole thing is backstitches. So I'm either plenty done, or 1400 stitches short.

I knit, too. Pulled out my Addition by Subtraction mystery SAL shawl started in 2018. I'm off pattern now, but keeping the spirit of the slip-stitch sections. This will be a loud shawl someday.

I'm allergic to cats now, despite growing up with and adoring them. So all my cat interactions are through Zoom and flosstube. I'm very sad for the cat moms who have lost furbabies this week. 😞

So, fellow cross stitchers: Full Coverage February. I'm wondering if I should do wheel spins on my 5 FC for the month? Steampunk Portal, Black Cat Stained Glass 3, Fox Embrace, Vulpine Night, and The Tiger's Eye. 500 stitches a day should get me some progress, yes? Good idea or no?

Almost have the first page of Dreaming of Autumn Leaves (Rosewood Manor) finished. Will only be doing 2 pages, slightly modified, because I want something I can frame (it's pretty!) but hate stitching on this linen. Now that I've decided I don't need to stitch the whole chart, I'm enjoying it more.

Apparently at some point I said "screw it" and let my X's cross whatever direction was up at the time. Not fixing it, just stitching to get it done. Will probably turn into a project bag someday! (For January WIPFrenzy/24HoCS)
