Brucie had his annual check-up on Friday. All seems well for my little old man bird. His notes stated, "there are berry stains on his beak", "there are berry stains on his feathers" and "there are berry stains on his feet". There's no mistaking who that is. 🍓

Did I need to buy mini crochet Bruce a berrymobile? I think the answer is obviously, yes. Yes, I did. 🍓

I saw human looking everywhere for me. I didn't make a peep. She even crinkled paper so I would make noise. But I didn't. She was about to start moving furniture when she saw me sitting behind Chester's home with a smirk on my face.

Yes, I keep changing things around. Now Winnie is back in the donut but with the neck warmer to keep him stable. I was confident enough in this set up to go for a walk and I caught him on camera beak grinding. 🍋💛

It's been oddly quiet here without Barney. An x-ray after he passed showed a mass on his heart. Likely atherosclerosis but can't say for sure without more invasive testing which I don't think we need to do as it matches what happened. Bette is doing ok.

Barney made his way over the rainbow bridge last night. He went peacefully at the vet. He looked good the day before but was lethargic and vomiting in the morning. I am considering some post mortem testing to possibly find out the cause as it was so sudden.
