I'm also a big supporter of clinical education but making this about the NextGen bar exam is nuts. Teachers of subjects tested on the exam can easily adapt by building in more problems and interaction. (I teach 1L Torts.)

No sympathy for faculty here. It's literally our job to think hard about how to run a good class or what grade to assign to a paper. Zero tolerance for the use of AI to automate core functions of our role.

Very hedged - "the switch suggests that a firm that chose to fight the Trump administration could still attract an important client" - but intriguing nonetheless that Microsoft might have switched from Simpson to Jenner due to the former's capitulation to Trump and resulting conflicts.

This is correct. However, the administration is also hyping the arrest as an example of retribution against "the judiciary" so it's not surprising that people are reading this as an escalation.
