I'm running Ryzen Master to measure which cores can be undervolted less than 0.03V in 0.001V steps. Puts the old days in perspective where you could buy a Mendocino Celeron or Thoroughbred Athlon XP, slap a decent heatsink on top and just bump its frequency by 50% for free.

Barely getting 25MBps reads out of old data on a WD SATA SSD. One would expect the controller to refresh cells every once in a while...right?

with any of the new languages competing with C++? Rust seems to get in the way of playing fast and loose a lot. Zig seems to be an overall improvement but it probably doesn't bring enough to the table to justify switching.

Had to agree with the orange site on this one: Ghostty is a good terminal not because it's the fastest or has the most features but because it has sane defaults. Install, set your font and theme, set TERM in your ssh config, you're done.

Spent a week working on an ancient piece of code with exponential runtime, only to figure out a solution in linear time in the shower. 🤦♂️
