Gamedev update Actually got a lot done this week, ofc theres more bug squashing but i also made a new secret boss (shown below) and i've been working on the last few things i need to throw in before the games done. Releasing soon btw!

Gamedev update Not much this week, was out of town with family for thanksgiving and such. I did some more minor work regarding balancing and reworking some things. Uhh that's about it this week since I'm close to the end the next few updates are probably just gonna be minor things

Gamedev update Finished the weapons and here's the art for them as promised. Also working on some last minor tweaks and some balancing stuff, doing some play testing as well just to make sure there's nothing I missed. I'm getting super close to being done it's almost finally finished hell yeah

Gamedev update Didn't get all the bugs but I'm just about done with those, I also started working on a few new weapons. I know it's a little late in development to be making stuff like that but with the addition of new hard enemies it made the game way harder so I needed some sort of compensation

Gamedev update I actually got stuff done this week woohoo, got the enemy bios done, a bunch of bugs and tweaks and starting to work on more ingame hints for the games secrets and stuff. I would give footage but I'm away from the computer rn so maybe next time This weeks goal is to finish up bugs

Gamedev update (no I'm not late shh) Uh not much tbh, I just had so little time to actually do dev this week, so all I did was finish up the new enemies (I just need to balance them) and making some changes to the enemy bio system to include the new enemies I should get more done this week I think

Gamedev update More work on the new enemies, I've got spawning and the attack patterns done, I just gotta make them actually balanced. I didn't have time to get footage this time so we'll see about next time if I actually have time to work on it this week (that's a big if tho)

Gamedev update Here's the art for the amped up enemies, their bodies got a lil messed up because uhhh time loops probably do that to you right This week I'm gonna TRY to finish up their attacks and spawning but we'll see if I actually get it done this week

Gamedev update More work on bugs, added a very small cutscene/text intermission before each loop to polish it up a bit, and I started to work on the three new enemies. They're gonna be super amped up versions of the iris enemies I made a long time ago and will be for the late game, around loops 2-3

Gamedev update More work on looploop, not as much done this week bc I had plans this weekend that were great and my car also went full geriatric Still on the bugs and tweaking grind but within a few weeks I MIGHT have some new enemies coming in, it depends on if they're good for the game balance

Gamedev update Back to getting work on looploop, I did a big playthrough of the game and wrote every bug and tweak i found I made a rough schedule of what I need to do and when to do it, assuming I stick to this list the game should be out before the end of the year, likely sometime in December 👀

Gamedev update The birthday game is finished and good news it went well, they really enjoyed it and I had to nerf the game twice because they had a skill issue The better news is that I can finally get back to looploop development. No more detours or side projects, I need to finish this game.

Gamedev update Still finishing the bday project, the deadline is farther than I initially thought so I havent been crunching on it so much so I don't go insane. I basically have everything done it's just bug fixes, sfx, and adding the win screen I think. (New deadline is the 20th btw)

Gamedev update Still more work on the bday project I actually have till the 20th but I'm not gonna use all that time it just means I don't have to crunch as much. All attacks are done its mostly just the remaining stuff like finishing acts and adding dialogue etc This is canon nubert btw (trust)

Gamedev update Small detour from looploop, I'm making a small fan game for a friend's upcoming bday, the goal is to have it done by Saturday but I'll have to lock tf in and pray my laptop can actually do its damn job Here some footage (straight up runing my delta rn)

Gamedev update Getting back into working on the game, I finished the ability for the last character (I'll try to get footage of that tomorrow if I remember) and did a few bug fixes I think I'm getting pretty darn close to being done this thing might actually be getting finished soon! (hopefully)

Gamedev update Nothing new since the jam, I'll pick my project back up in a bit but I just wanted to recover from the warzone of gmtk before going back into the battlefield so that I didn't get burnt out or something idk Also school starts in a few days for me so that might slow progress a bit?

One Year of Looploop (1/?) One year ago today, on July 16th 2024, I decided to take a small break from my main project to create a little side project. My Nuclear Throne addiction had gotten to the point where I wanted to create my own Throne-like, so I decided my main project can wait.

gamedev update (late again because I felt like it) More work on the final boss stuff, I made most of the statue room, which is where you will access the final boss after reaching various milestones. There's still a bunch of bugs and little things I need to tweak because of course there always is

Gamedev update (delayed bc I had little service for a bit) Yet again not much, all I really did was make the art for the final boss. Nothing crazy but I just wanna get this thing done so I'm not gonna go all out. Also my July might be as busy as my June so that's not the best :(

Gamedev update Yet another week of nothing, June has just been packed with plans and it's really bumming me out that I can't get anything done, its been 2 months since my initial planned deadline for the game and a month since I've made any progress. Idk maybe July or August will give me more time

Gamedev update (no I didn't forget to do it yesterday) Working on a jam game for the Fireside Jam 2025, and the theme is 'Hunt'. So far I have a character with momentum-y movement and a few abilities such as a shotgun, kick, and a lunge. I don't wanna say too much about my overall idea yet tho :)

Gamedev update Didn't have much time this week, but I continued working on the menu overhaul. Buttons have function now. Woohoo. Taking a small break from the game for a few weeks to participate in the Fireside Jam 2025 btw so expect updates on that for the next couple weeks.

Gamedev update Got a decent amount done. Bug fixes, tweaking, making a smoother camera, adding contrast settings, and also starting to work on overhauling the menu. It didnt really look that great before so I'm working on making it smoother and just way better than before
