In the November 13, 1998 issue of Japanese gaming magazine 'The PlayStation'- programmer Noriyuki Watanabe mentions that the prototype contained ranged attacks that were mostly complete, but dropped in favor of Seru summons. Gala smashing the ground in the cinematic is a remnant of that system.

Noa spotted in the DPS BATTLE COLOSSEUM feature from vol.86 of Dengeki Playstation Magazine. Readers could submit records for other players to try and beat from home. This submission features a little drawing of Noa alongside the player's completion info.

I've never played Duel Saga, but as a Matsuno fan- I *have* listened to the OST. (Which I like!) Sakimoto, Mitsuda and Oshima all on the same project? If Shibao hadn't been ostracized from the sequel- we might still be playing Legaia games to this day. He really was the magic ingredient.

Legend of Legaia. My mom randomly brought home some gaming magazines one day, including an issue of US PlayStation magazine. I was shocked that it came with a demo disc, and I excitedly tried a few of the games. Legend of Legaia really stood out to me, and I actually got the game because of that.
