This week on Sunny Sunday, I've gotten all my outdoor projects done for the year, and Sunny came down to join me in the yard while I burned up some of the old scrap wood. He's also finally getting the hang of bringing toys back, but you have to give him a belly rub before he hands it over.

My weight loss is finally getting visible to me without measuring. For the objective check, I took out my old belt I had been tracking it on before it wore out, and I'm down another two to three notches from the last one I made. That's about six inches off my waist in three years.

This week on Sunny Sunday, we've had rain all weekend, so we've stuck to inside stuff. I connected with my parents yesterday for my mom's birthday, and she sent him some of her homemade dog food. I also did a bit of work on my sink installing a glass rinser, and he was being my plumber's assistant.

Sunny wanted his bandana swapped out, it's like he knows his birthday is done. He picked out a red one this time. He kept smiling so much I could barely get a shot where the bandana wasn't obscured. He's got a personality as big as that tongue.

This week on Sunny Sunday, his 5th birthday was Wednesday! We went to the local river walk, went to the dog park where he got in a good run and a chance to make some friends, and on the way home we got a pup cup. We were both pretty tired after all that, so we saved his cookie for tonight.

Today is Sunny's birthday. I'll be taking him out for some fun to celebrate this weekend, but he wanted to pose for a picture with his birthday bandana on.

Took a nap on my lunch break today recovering from all the landscaping work this weekend, and of course Sunny snuggled up with me. He's such a sweetheart.

This week on Sunny Sunday, I've still been working hard on landscaping, and my back has been shot. So I've been filling two needs and playing with Sunny while stretching it out on the ground. The prankster takes the opportunity to drool on me when I'm down low, but he makes up for it with cuddles.

This week on Sunny Sunday, I'm recovering from a head cold and overworked myself yesterday. Nurse Sunny said no to that and lay on top of me in bed this morning to force snuggles and make me rest. The weather ended up being too rainy for outside work, so we had a light day with housework and playing

This week on Sunny Sunday, Sunny has been staying with my mom while I've been away at GenCon. According to her report, he has been very well behaved, had some digestive distress but has held up okay. We're both back home now and he's very pleased to be getting back to his regular snoozing spots.

Arrived safely in Indy for GenCon! If anyone is around, come visit me at the FASA games booth. My scheduled hours this year are Thurs 11am to 1pm, Sat 10am to 1pm, and Sun 10am to 1pm.

This week on Sunny Sunday, my vacation before GenCon has started, and I am making a mad dash to get work done on the house while Sunny supervises. My parents also needed help moving stuff from their place, so Sunny got to come with and play with my mom. We just got back home and are ready for bed.

This week on Sunny Sunday, I'm preping for my vacation next week, and this weekend has been a calm before the storm. This week on Sunny Sunday, we went to visit my mom for the 4th, and my aunt and uncle were also there visiting with their new puppy. After two days of playing with a puppy as well as everyone else at the house, he was completely exhausted and snoozed all the way home as well as today.

This week (and last week) on Sunny Sunday, we've not done much because it is so dang hot. His fur makes him overheat, so I've been keeping him cool inside. He wants to play, and I'm doing my best to keep him entertained. We're due for a cool off, so hopefully we'll be able to burn that energy soon.

This week on Sunny Sunday, my parents are back in town, so we took a trip over to visit. Sunny got some of my mom's homemade dog food and did a lot of playing. He was pretty tired when we got home and wanted a nap and belly rubs, but after a chance to recharge he was ready to play some more.

This week on Sunny Sunday, Sunny got a bit of a run in the back yard yesterday, kept himself very occupied with finding some sticks to inspect. Tonight I've been writing and needed a break, so he went out with me for some ice cream. Got him a little baby dish of strawberry that he chowed down on.

This week on Sunny Sunday, Sunny was cooped up inside most of the day while I was working in the yard, so I decided to bring him with me when I ran out for dinner. He got to share a couple of French fries and lick of my strawberry shake, which always makes him happy.

I just had a lady randomly walk up to me in a store and ask if I mow lawns. Apparently I am exuding Midwesterner energy hard today.

This week on Sunny Sunday, we tried to relax more this weekend. Sunny claimed my pillows to sleep in on Saturday. Sunday we got breakfast and he got a hash brown as a treat. We had a bird get into the house which had him on bird watch, and then I spent the rest of the day vacuuming up his hair.

This week on Sunny Sunday, Sunny has been in the window every day awaiting the return of his bunny friends. His playful energy has come back strong, along with that famous golden retriever appetite.

This week on Sunny Sunday, Sunny had a little touch of a flu bug earlier in the week, but by this weekend is back to playing and walking outside. His incision is continuing to heal and his fur is coming back in where it was shaved.

This week on Sunny Sunday, we got the all clear from the vet to take his cone off. He seems very happy to be able to wear his bandana again. He's also eager to snuggle up closer without it in the way, as shown here when he stole my spot in bed.

This week on Sunny Sunday, Sunny is still recovering well. He's getting more energy back and is ready for more walks and playing. We followed up at the vet, his incision needed cleaning but is generally good. He's got more meds as a precaution, lighter doses. We've got another follow up next week.

This week on Sunny Sunday, Sunny has been building up strength again after his surgery. He's eating well and shared a tiny bit of vanilla shake the other night. Tonight he stayed in the kitchen helping me make toppers for his food; celery, carrots, and some rice cooked in beef broth and blended.
