I bought two CDs on the same day after finally getting a CD player: Dr. Dre’s 2001 and Nas’ Nastradamus And to make the juxtaposition even more obvious, I accidentally bought an edited version of Nastradamus because I had no experience buying CDs.

House of Lies had an incredible early run. Plenty of shows fall off, and that one certainly did. But when that cast (Don Cheadle, Kristen Bell, Ben Schwartz and Josh Lawson, with guests like Sanaa Lathan and Jenny Slate) had strong material and a solid budget the first 2 seasons, it was great.

Roc Marciano and DJ Muggs was a much better combination than Marci and DJ Premier, which makes a lot of sense. Premier these days pulls rappers back to earth, which can be quite welcome when a rapper has bad instincts or limited talent. But Marci fits neither of those distinctions.
