Really sad to hear the icon that was Jilly Cooper has died. In one of the more surreal elements of my life I met her at a dinner once, got on great and she got really into my music (which was very unexpected!). We would trade Xmas cards every year, hers always covered in dogs and her tiny writing.

Very sad to learn that the wonderful Lalo Schifrin has passed on. He really was such a genius at combining rhythm, texture, instrumentation and melody in such a powerful and unique way. Interviewed him once years before I was a “proper” film composer. He was an absolute gent👇
