Yarlside from Gt Asby Scar a chilly but beautiful 12 mile walk just north of the Howgills from Sunbiggin Tarn to Gt Asby and back across the magnificent limestone plateau of Gt Asby Scar National Nature Reserve. Amazing long distance views all day, with vibrant autumnal colours. Good for the soul 😊

"Out of the blue" A short walk in the Lakes this morning from Yew Tree Tarn up Holme Fell and round to Tarn Hows. We bumped into @malidaviesphoto.bsky.social as he was running a workshop down at the tarn. This was near the top of Holme Fell. Amazing autumn colours in the Lakes at the moment.

"Jagged" a memorable morning walk up the Beinn Eighe Mountain Trail a few years ago. The cloud soon descended blocking out any further shadows. It's only a short walk but it gets you into the hills.
