Kamen Rider V3 is shaping up to be such a perfect continuation of KR Ichigo. Destron still FEELS like Shocker, but so far? The mutants they're building feel less like monsters of the week and more like pissed off middle-aged blue collar workers. Like, they want V3 DEAD, and they want him dead NOW.

One can only hope it'll be a stand-alone, and there's still gonna be a continuation. Because last I checked? They advertised Kingdom as the start of a new trilogy. If not, what an absolute WASTE of a banger starting point.

I think one of my favorite things in the Kamen Rider '71 is when the show delves into legitimate horror. Like, sure, the episode is going to consist of a Shocker or Gelshocker Cyborg fighting Rider, but the buildup is spectacular when the vibes are ON.

To say even more? I have to say that the visual language of Kamen Rider is so incredibly consistent when it comes to Hongo being the main series Rider. Harsh shadows, directed lighting, and vivid colors are pillars. But for some reason, the show felt far more common when Ichimonji took center stage?

Say what you want about how OG Kamen Rider has held up against stuff from the Heisei era onward, if there's one hill i'd be prepare to die on? It'd be that Takeshi Hongo always had that shit on. He may have lost some fights, but the drip never faded from the limelight.

I'm working my way through the ass end of the original Kamen Rider series, and I'm left BAFFLED. Like, what do you mean DOCTOR DEATH of all characters was a fan favorite? Maybe I'm in the minority but I definitely fuck with Ambassador Hell and Colonol Zol WAY more than Doctor Death.

After today's episode of #Invincible, as amazing as it was? It's solidified the fact that I simply don't trust the fandom to be mature or have proper media literacy when it comes to the Anissa/Mark conflict. The internet is gonna be RANCID come Season 5 or 6, depending on how it's gonna be paced.

I hope that Hiya picks up a Gamera license. It's fine that Tamashii has the Kamen Rider and Ultraman licenses. They seem to be doing great in that department. But I've never been able to deep dive into an actual Kaiju collection because of how fragile SHM is. Hiya seems sturdy and cost effrctive.
