Things have slowed with my game dev journey as I have had a serious addiction to LoL 😅 I’ve also been working more days tattooing but I want to try take some time this week to work more on my wee game. I still have a placeholder title for it but that stuff can come later. Very excited about it 😌

I have been tattooing for 16 and a half years (I only realised this the other day lmao) and I can’t think of a time I was this quiet. I feel like the old farts I used to work with who used to refuse a stencil machine or a rotary machine - as I am now the old fart that doesn’t use instagram/tiktok 😅

Has the tattoo industry went beyond its peak in the UK? Its hit an obvious lull for most of us, but whats the real issue? Cost of living? Too many studios? Too many artists? I work with many experienced artists with 20+ years in the industry and they say this is the most quiet they have been

I never once questioned my transition until recently. The recent court ruling and the constant transphobia we have been having in the UK has had me thinking a lot recently that I wish I weren’t trans. I can’t believe how unsafe I feel, I am barely leaving the house and I know my wife feels the same

Whats the point in surrendering in LoL? If you play it so much that you wanna rage quit when it seems like you are losing then don’t play. I enjoy playing it even if I lose cause whats the fun in always winning something? idk i feel like giving up makes you seem like a sore loser 😬

I spent a whole day and managed to make a torii gate float in the air bobbing up and down. Listen… I will take a small victory #gamedev

Did a quick sketch of my game characters on procreate and sent them over to my mac to model on blender 🖼️ This little guy looks friendly, but is he? 👀

Also just trying to immerse myself into something to avoid the news. Everything is very anti trans at the moment and its really overwhelming. Take a step back and do something you enjoy, or try something new and creative if you feel the same way 🏳️‍⚧️💕

Been absolutely sick as a dog this past month! Seems like I’m coming to the end of it now and I can actually sit down and develop the game more! I’m not sure how much to share as this is still new to me and in the past I have had artwork stolen before so obviously i’m a little nervous

So I have been teaching myself game dev. I’ve decided on #godot for my engine as it seems pretty user friendly plus it has nodes! Since switching my video editing software to davinci nodes are the way forward🙌

It gets so tough as someone who relies on social media for getting work. Logging on and seeing the transphobia is really wearing me down. Instagram wasn’t perfect but it was better than twitter for a while. It seems it’s just as bad as twitter now wtf

I’ve had such a moment of clarity - weird timing since its 6am here and I haven’t slept. I feel kinda great though, weird! Life is actually pretty good - by the end of the year I will be living in Japan again with my wife and two lil fur babies 🥰

Last 12 days in Japan before returning to Scotland. I then need to sort all my things for finally moving back to Japan permanently. Stress and excitement!
