My franchise rewatch is currently at Hellraiser V: Inferno which feels a bit modern noire before Pinhead finally arrives to shake things up with elegant prose. What I like about the Hellraiser films how each sequel does their own thing. I've enjoyed the first five.

Arguably the best goggle-wearing Nazi zombie film ever made. All because one of the zombie extras returned from glaucoma surgery wearing protective goggles and the director like the look.

Watching Hatchet III (2013) and Caroline Williams should've won all the awards just for the way she calls Danielle Harris 'Po white trash'. This cast kicks ass.

Watched Hatchet II (2010) and I'm convinced Victor Crowley isn't evil. He's only frustrated with the lack of dental health care options that fit his lifestyle. We all want to be pretty.

Sorority Row (2009) is kinda like I Know What You Did Last Summer but with tire irons instead of hooks. I'm enjoying these kill shots tho. It's a pleasant watch. I Know What You Did Last Sorority had to be in the alt title list.

Re-watched the Live Escape (2022) and Live Survival (2023) together for the first time. It's not perfect but I really like how they tied the two films together. Definitely don't watch if you aren't a fan of (often very) shaky cam found footage or expect top tier acting but as a duo it's fun.

Starry Eyes (2014). Alexandra Essoe deserves all the accolades this and any film after has given her. This film is an absolute classic.

Had a chance to see Phantasm (1979) on the big screen last night in Tempe, AZ. So fun watching with a crowd of horror fans! It's a bi-weekly event so I'll definitely be showing up for more.

It's telling how prophetic The Onion Movie (2008) is nearly twenty years ago. That's what good humor does.

Lately half the titles on Found TV are glitching on the Roku app. Some get partially thru the film but lock up consistently in the same spot or don't have sound. Anyone else having this issue?

Tonight's second Quigley, Bauer, Stevens feature from 1988. It was a big year for the trio. Now #watching Sorority Babes at the Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama (1988) which somehow also involves a sororities. Possibly my favorite Quigley film.

It's a Quigley, Bauer, Stevens double header night. First up. #watching Nightmare Sisters (1988) about three geeky college girls who can't get dates so search for answers by organizing a seance.

#watching the final monthly installment of #TheLastDriveIn. Bittersweet but not the end with what appears to be seasonal episodes in the future. I'll take what I can get. First up is Messiah of Evil (1973).

#watching Crazy Old Lady (2025). My favorite type of old lady after witchy old lady. Based on the first ten minutes I feel this could be the crazy old lady version of John Wick.

The new Shudder layout is up on Roku and I love it so far. Finally defaults to the main screen instead of ShudderTV includes a playlist for ShudderTV. Well done!

It's not too late! Give us one last Barbara Crampton and Jeffery Combs film. I'll buy the ticket and the dvd!

Continuing one of my favorite horror documentary series of all time. #watching In Search of Darkness 1995-1999 (2025). I think the 90s gets a bad rap (for not being the 80s) but fuck that noise. Horror is timeless.

Continuing the Szostakiwskyj double-header #watching Black Mountain Side (2044) where a group of archeologists in the far north of Canada discover an ancient structure that begins to affect the crew as they become increasingly isolated from the outside.

#watching Archons (2018) by Nick Szostakiwskyj the creator of Black Mountain Side (2014) about a waning rock band taking a canoe trip into the Canadian wilderness experiencing strange sights in the woods around them. Need more horror from you Nick.

From Romero's second zombie trilogy, this is easily my favorite. #watching Diary of the Dead (2007). Romero's only found footage flick but he nailed it.

#watching Here for Blood (2022) about a pro-wrestler who subs for his girlfriend on a well paying babysitting job that goes south when otherworldly masked cultist attempt to abduct the little girl. Actually looks like a fun romp.

#watching Mum & Dad (2008) abut a lonely young woman visiting a new co-workers home to realize the family has decided to keep her. Such a messed up film.

Latest watches. A lot of aliens and cannibals for no reason whatsoever. No alien cannibals tho so ... untapped market?

Can't follow up Antropophagus (1980) without #watching the sequel Absurd (1981). This is the killer from the first film with regenerative abilities. Kind of interesting it follows the Halloween theme. Probably a coincidence...

It's been a while since #watching Antropophagus (1980) about a cannibalistic killer stalking newly arrived tourists. How bad does the local cuisine have to be that eating foreigners is a delicacy?

I'm #watching The Ruck March (2026) hoping to finally see a Michal Rock flick without self-promotion (only one thus far). I'd enjoy his stuff more without it. It's his lowest rated film of those I've seen but I'm enjoying it more than the Tahoe Joe trilogy. No ads, Mike!

#watching All You Need is Death (2023). A couple search for an ancient folk song about a curse that is said to hold power. It's a bit slow early on but better than the poster art would suggest and Olwen Fouéré in the cast is always a welcome sight.

#watching Black Sheep (2006). No, not the Chris Farley flick and I understand your disappointment but I mainly watch horror films and that is a masterpiece of comedy. Tonight it's about genetic experiments that turn docile sheep into bloodthirsty killers on a New Zealand farm.

In the mood for a fun meta slasher with a traumatized group of camp councilors and a running body count so #watching You Might Be the Killer (2019).

This might be my year for actor/director marathons. Tonight I'm #watching The Haunting in Connecticut (2009) as the first installment in my Kyle Gallner thread. It's surprising how many films I've seen him in but this is probably just my excuse to rewatch the Smile films and Strange Darling.

All cannibal movies should be required to share their favorite recipes in the end credits.
