Back from British Columbia, fantastic wildlife. Here's a Vancouver Island Marmot (less than 400 left in the wild) #Vancouverislandwildlife

Some migrants moving through the garden today. Spotted Flycatcher and Willow Warbler plus a Goldcrest. #birdingscotland

Finally caught up with the Bonaparte's Gull at St Combs with the added bonus of an adult Sabine's Gull. #birdingscotland

A trip out to the Eastern end of the Moray Firth with Guide Charters out of Macduff gave us a close encounter with a Sooty Shearwater which stayed with the boat for over 15 minutes. Another highlight was a Pomarine Skua that did a fly-by. #birdingscotland

Nice to get a second Hummingbird Hawk-moth of the year today. Much more worn than the one in June. #nesbrec. #teammoth

Loch Broom #cetaceansuk

The only fins we saw were Common Dolphins in Loch Broom including a young calf and also a partially melanistic one. #highlandandhebridesncetaceans #commondolphins

A few trips on the Ullapool to Stornoway Ferry last week produced some nice birds. #birdingscotland

A couple of trips on the Ullapool-Stornoway Ferry resulted in lots of Common Dolphins, plenty of Minke Whales and a couple of Humpbacks.

The family came out to play which was brilliant but shortly after this photo we had a massive thunderstorm which they all got caught in. One of the kits got back okay and I rescued the small one and put her back in the hole. Not sure if No 3 got back ok.but fingers crossed.
