Human, lover of music, critters and stuff.
I'm not so sure I'd be so absolvitory, but the Dems need to spend more time in the different small media markets pointing out the blatant immigrant hatred of the GOP. They don't even need lies, just show all the hateful rhetoric these guys spew constantly.

This is why for rural communities we are going to see more micro-grids and community power generation. Plus in these cases batteries or other versions of energy storage. The solution in America is going to vary based on locale. We are too large and disperse for one size fits all.

People always talk about a litmus test for conversations that we discuss. Zero bigotry should be the primary progressive stance. Aligning with hateful bigots because they suddenly realize Trump is a destructive fool and might impact their wealth seems to be a line not to cross.

The thing that bothers me about the MSM EV/battery/electrify is they all seem to written by people who don't use any of the tech. Americans haven't embraced EVs because the legacy autos hate them and chose not to invest in charging infrastructure. Battery lawn tools are 2nd/3rd gen at this time.

It could but it would cost more to train and manage. The underlying idea behind these general purpose LLMs is reduction of work force. When we hear of scientists using LLMs to assist in their research they are training the systems and crafting the input data to create a special purpose agent.

We canceled the carrot, time for the stick. People want cheaper and cleaner cars. The legacies refuse to build and sell them and convince the governments to tariff the foreign ones. They say we won't buy them but poor legacy quality and tariffs are the reason. open the flood gates on the bottom.

What's going to happen in the near future is red states energy costs are going to rise while blue states are going to taper. Time to rename green energy, cheap energy and point out the cost efficiency.

I think the right knows they have a lot of bad messengers and they believe if you can get a straight, white man to portray their views in a anodyne, milquetoast manner, we'll all see they are correct. They can't understand we find most of their views evil or abhorrent.

I would argue against using the words amnesty and for talking more about green cards and work permits. Allowing people who were working to keep working is implied amnesty. Get the businesses who hire them onboard.

100% agree with this. No one has shown a plausible reason why we wouldn't apply technology to the individual productivity issue. All I see is the rent seekers of the world having less control over the workers and fewer consumers to fleece and this would limit their ability to horde wealth and power.

Trump, like his voters, is a reactionary. They believe in stupid, destructive policies, and disassociate from their policies being the cause, and get mad and yell at the boogie man of the day.

Thing is I live in the Metro-Detroit area. I grew up with, work for and with these companies. They all still live in the glory days of the muscle car. You can still tell from the cars parked in my sub what companies their fathers, uncles and grandfathers worked for.

The comment that got me the most in the Wired article was Farley saying he hired engineers who give 30x what others do. Total wish-casting. So is he admitting his normal engineers are lazy, or somehow EVs are magical and need special powers to create.

I live in MI and just learned this. My first winter I can get the windows defrosting in minutes. The big argument on the forums is preheating the battery for range, but if you don't care about range and EV is ready to go in 5.

Already happening. Leaf motors are good for transplants. They have a simple BMS and getting old enough to pirate. One of the things you don't hear is that longevity of EV motors is going to keep them viable for transplants for years.

In the era of tiktok they have to cling to an aesthetic that won't accidentally make them seem like a lib. It's exacerbated by the fact the Trump is a caricature of himself. Going to be interesting to see how this progresses when Trump is gone.

The cheap car dam is going to break. The legacy autos ignored them for years. If people want to overpay for luxury cars let them, but you can't continue to sell inferior ICE cars for 30k+. The rest of the world doesn't want them.

I've been wondering about this also. Do you keep a small tariff on the cars at the bottom which people need to control transportation costs and lean heavier on the middle and top?

This is the way. Frozen meals are cost effective and can be made much tastier with a little extra side items. I'll buy the shredded rotisserie chicken packages from Costco and use them to add to noodle or pasta meals.

The only reason I think SCOTUS will strike down his tariffs is that they realize it's going to get them wiped in the mid-terms and his ego won't allow him to drop them. It gives him an out. They will say we don't have to repay them because it would cause harm to the presidency.

for the foreseeable future we have to assume it is a chemical battery pack. Compute and movement will need energy. upcoming solid state batteries will be lighter. upside is that EVs are pushing dc fast charging so a robot could dc fast charge in minutes.
