400 desalination plants line the coasts from UAE to Kuwait, providing drinking water to roughly 100 million people. Kuwait gets 90% from desalination. Bahrain 95%. Qatar nearly 100%. Saudi Arabia 70%. Israel around 80%.

The process of shipping oil is slow. The real supply disruptions haven't even begun yet, & when they do, they'll be long lasting. It'll take months to normalize even if infrastructure wasn't destroyed. France says 30-40% is damaged or destroyed. It's going to get a lot worse.
