The beauty of due process is that it is supposed work for everyone. Our system is set up so that even the most vile offender gets the same due process as a completely innocent person. Then, and only then can we say they deserve the punishment we hand out.

Since his tariff “plan” blew up and he has made inflation worse, look for Trump to start vigorously attacking the Fed to lower interest rates. This is a terrible idea and shows he is as ignorant about rates as he is about inflation. Lowering rates will just cause inflation to go higher.

I had to give a speech today to a group of 40-50 people. It was a work topic, totally non-political. It was kind of nice to immerse myself into that and not think about the world collapsing around us for a few minutes. It would be nice to get back to that, instead of a daily existential threat.

Even if you take out the “retaliatory” tariffs, the base 10% tariff and the 125% tariff he left with China is still enough to spike inflation and spin us into a recession. He didn’t salvage anything yesterday.

Can the International Criminal Court try the US or it's agents for human trafficking? I'm not a lawyer, so I don't know. But as a layman, the way they are sending immigration prisoners to to third country prisons without due process sure sounds like human trafficking to me.

Today Trump is at his weakest point of this term. He just blinked on the whole tariff nonsense. To use his terms, he doesn't "have the cards" to fight a trade war. Democrats need to go at him hard right now. If there are any smart Republicans (tall order), they need to jump in too.

I can just see MAGA praising Trump now for the huge stock market "rally" today. Guys, he didn't do any genius move, we just just stopped punching ourselves in the dick (at least temporarily).

I have worked or consulted for several publicly traded companies. Not one of the boards of those companies would allow a CEO like Musk to keep his position.

The Trump coalition is starting to show the tiniest of cracks in their ranks. Not enough to get our hopes up yet, but it does show that Trump has a fragile support base. It will crumble slowly, then all at once.

Next to fleecing the US and the world out of billions of dollars for his own pockets, this is his second big goal - to make other leaders grovel to him. The man is a sociopath.

Elon Musk is starting to figure out that even if you give $300M to the Leopard Party, the Leopards will still eat your face.

I'm sure MAGA is overjoyed and wetting themselves over the market gains today. What they fail to realize it that we are firmly in recession territory right now. It will take a lot more than this little blip to save us from the disaster Trump has unleashed.

There is so much market manipulation going on right now. None of it will get investigated of course because the Trump family and his inner circle are among the major manipulators.
