Fun fact 2: the original version of Sakurasou erroneously gives Hauhau wireless headphones. This is another thing that was fixed in later releases. I only found this out just now because I could have sworn that her headphones were wireless because that's how I drew them, and I was half right.

Obviously I would have preferred if they extended the backgrounds into 16:9 in AJAA instead of cropping them for the Apollo Justice Trilogy, but I think they found a decent enough workaround by having you able to see the cut off parts when examining

Most Ace Attorney fans disagree but imo every game in the Apollo Justice Trilogy is better than every game in the Phoenix Wright Trilogy. There's not a single case in AJAA, DD, or SoJ that I dislike or am even neutral about, I think their narratives are stronger, and I like the characters more.

It really sucks that there is no definitive version of the Phoenix Wright trilogy like there is for any other game in the Ace Attorney series. Every version of the games are brought down by something which sucks because these are the games you MUST play to get into the series.

I agree that DR1 is the most grounded, but at the same time it also featured sci-fi brain technology, an advanced robot bear, a character going super saian, supernatural elements like luck, and other crazy stuff. It makes sense that they'd lean into that stuff. pengu.straw.page

While I do think that it is kinda representative of Danganronpa becoming more and more unrealistic with each entry, I don't think it affected the game enough for me to consider it jumping the shark. I'd say v3 was the breaking point honestly. pengu.straw.page

With the animation studio being added, I can now finally do a proper comparison of how the Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney Trilogy looks compared to the flashback in the Apollo Justice Trilogy. So here's a thread where I go into depth 🧵 Starting with the obvious

The artbook in the new Ace Attorney update is kinda basic. The one in the Apollo Justice Trilogy was super in depth and had tons of concept art so I was expecting something similar, but in comparison this one's kinda lacking. Oh well.

It bugs me that even with the new update, the Phoenix Wright Trilogy STILL doesn't have a transcript like the other remasters. I can't even imagine it'd be that hard to add, AJAA added it and it wasn't present in the original so why not?

The new Phoenix Wright Ace Atrorney Trilogy update replaces the original objection sound with the Sam Riegel one from the Apollo Justice Trilogy

I love the UI in the Apollo Justice Trilogy but I wish they found some way to keep this image in. I always thought this background that shows up when you pick a costume was neat, but it's just gone in the remaster.

The Phoenix Wright and Apollo Justice Trilogies desktop icons not matching bothered me so I made them match.

I think this might also be a contributing factor to why we're not getting an Ace Attorney 7 any time soon. Why would someone pay $50-60 for a new Ace Attorney game when for that price or even less they can have 6 of them? It's probably a tricky situation for Capcom.

It's kinda crazy how for less than $30, you can get the entire main Ace Attorney series, that's 6 whole games and a collective 150 hours of playtime. What's even crazier is that I've seen them go for lower than this too, I got the anthology for $22 on Fanatical a bit ago.
