It's really no match between the European and the Japanese versions of Magical Kid Wiz. Glad I could pick up that shiny Japanese version for cheap, even though it was an empty box (since then, I found a loose cartridge too 😅) #MSX

I was lucky enough to find a loose "5th Anniversary" tape to complete my Hydlide 3 box! #MSX

And that's probably more #MSX Hydlide versions than I will ever need. Or is there a secret Bee Card version? 😅

I've made a little device that takes a 2 button #MSX joystick on one end and poops out a USB gamepad on the other side. There's an auto-fire option that can be (de)activated by holding down one of the fire buttons and rotating the stick a couple of times. 1/4

Had some more fun playing with retroachievements.org/ but the biggest gripe is that I have to play in an emulator and I miss my joystick! But I found this adapter in a drawer which serves pretty well to make my trusty 80's joystick talk USB. Just one fire-button though... 🤔

Just found out my Cube Droid are on this site that adds achievements to retro games, including #MSX games! It works by having the emulator watch specific memory addresses and overlay unlocked achievements on screen. Such a great idea! retroachievements.or...

This is the official OST for the Parodius arcade game. I hear some similarities between this and the MSX version, but it's not the same music. The eyepatch of the penguin is actually painted on the outside of the jewel case. When you pull the booklet out, he's got no patch! 😅

Finally found NG1 ( already had NG2 ). This is the Namcot Game series with on this disk: Galaga King & Balloon Bosconian Warp & Warp Tank Battalion XVM They're all good #MSX games! 😍

Some more Japanese HAL games for the #MSX collection! Got the Takara version of Heavy Boxing for a change. 😅

I really love this Gao figurine that #MSX gamers know from the Firebird (Hi no Tori) game. He's only got one arm, but that's how he's supposed to be in the game too. (Those who've seen the movie know that his arm count is going to change soon. 😱) Took me forever to find one!

The SD Snatcher box is such an iconic #MSX release, I wanted to give it some love. The original box art is from Naoki Satoh and I added a little AI trickery and some modelling and animation with Blender. Hope you like the result!

Just received the Philips edition ( NMS 8962 ) of Hydelide 1 for #MSX 2 in the mail. Afaik, there's no cartridge release for this game, only disk and cassette (!) The Philips edition also comes with five languages in the manual.

Also got me a copy of the FutureDisk release "A Lone Wolf", signed by the legendary Tadahiro Nitta! 😍 #MSX

Picked up Los Amores de Brunilda this weekend at the RetroAlacant fair. A really beautiful game which is _still_ on my list to be completed one day 😅 Beautiful music and graphics and top notch coding by Fernando - Highly recommended!

Several ROM versions exist of #MSX Yie Ar Kung-Fu. In my collection it’s simple however: The serious cover is the tough game, the comic cover is the super easy one! 😅

ROOM5 got a physical release on GOTO40 as well. A really nice package ( look at that hotel room card! 😍 ). Played a couple of levels. It starts very easy and gets more difficult further on. Will try and find time to finish this one! #MSX

Been collecting some missing little #MSX Namcot cartridges over the last months -- and finally they arrived! I think they look pretty decent ( albeit not 100% ) The ones I already have are tucked away safely for some house renovations here. Patience for family picture!
