Preparing the first batch of samples for analysis & enjoying the view. After retrieving pollen and fungi from the slides we extract the DNA and prepare it for sequencing. These are then compared to a database, similar to a fingerprint. This way we can identify hundreds of species from a single drop.

AirBid - an interdisciplinary, transeuropean project We aim to uncover how green elements influence aerobiome diversity by setting up 125 samplers in five cities: ✅ Évora ✅ Copenhage ✅ Gothenburg ✅ Trento ✅ Vienna sampling for one year. Nearly all samplers are set up - the season can start.
