KTEH was a mecca for #DoctorWho when I jumped on board, showing an episode each weeknight at 7:30 and then a full serial (in episode format) each Saturday night. It took me a few weeks to set the VCR for the "late night" feature, but I was eventually all in.

The fact that I owe 40 years of fandom to "Time Flight" is evidence that any #DoctorWho story can be a good jumping-on point. I had no idea of the traumatic events that concluded "Earthshock." I was just fascinated by the story unfolding and ready to learn more.

40 years ago today, my dad asked me a fateful question: "Have you watched #DoctorWho?" I replied I hadn't due to the serialized nature, and I wanted to start with part 1 of a story. He flipped over to KTEH in San Jose just as "Time Flight" part one opened. The rest is history.

A friend dug up my #DoctorWho: The Movie review when we did a commentary for it almost a decade later and delighted in reminding me how much I praised Eric Roberts as the Master. Watching this time around, not sure what I was seeing then. But give Roberts credit for going for it

The TV Movie is probably the classic #DoctorWho story I've rewatched the least. It had been so long that it felt like watching it for the second or third time when I watched it this viewing. But what a spectacular 4K release to enjoy at just the right time in my pilgrimage.

I shared my thoughts on the TV Movie back in 96 and had a poster on r.a.dw tell me to be quiet because I wasn't 100% positive and Fox would see my review as a reason to cancel the show. I was flattered they thought I had that much sway in the matter. I didn't. #DoctorWho

I met a good friend through #DoctorWho: The Movie. Grateful that it exists just for the twenty-plus years of friendship and agreeing and disagreeing about our favorite show.
