One of our #conservation priorities is saving Nova Scotia's old, rare, and unique forest types (pictured here: floodplain, karst, Hemlock, Cedar swamp). Any forest friends out there? 🌎🌲

WE. LOVE. TURTLES. Nova Scotia has 4 species of freshwater turtles. Blanding’s Turtles, Wood Turtles and Snapping Turtles are all federally and provincially listed as ‘species-at-risk.’ Painted Turtles are also being monitored as populations decline. Protecting their habitat is key! 🌎 #conservation

DYK? Across most of Canada, large areas of wilderness are Crown Lands, but not in Nova Scotia. Over 70% of the province is privately owned—and 85% of our coastline is privately owned. It's a unique #conservation challenge (and we're part of the solution).
