I walked nearly 9 miles around Taichung today checking out gardens, a science museum, and a lively night market. Now Godzilla and I are gonna chill!

I’ve only been in Taiwan one day and I already have seen many wonders! There’s a great enthusiasm for animation here. I had a lovely first screening and an excellent Q & A session after with true stop motion lovers. Had to grab some creepy budget masks for the kids too!

I made my very first zine! It’s a collection of creepy Samhain folktales featuring silhouette illustrations I’ve been making. My plan is to ship them out as fun extras in art pieces I sell this month and next. I’ll be releasing new linocut prints, light box pieces, and larger cut paper work soon!

A while back Andreas, his partner, and I teamed up to pitch a short film called The Maiden and the Liar. While we didn't end up getting funding, I felt it would be fun to do a little concept art for it. It's also in line with a folk horror anthology feature I've been kickin' around in my 💀

I got word that a new music video I recently wrapped will premiere on September 19th. Yay!

Your favorite paper animator received a rejection today for a grant that would have helped launch our next feature. They never give these grants to animated projects but I’m still very sad about it. I have no idea how to get another film off the ground these days. 🫠
