A handful of residents around Cambie plan to block young people from living near them by using judicial review, similar to what happened to 7th and Arbutus. I know there are many moles to whack, but clogging up the courts to delay projects seems like a prudent use of a hammer.

This seems good, but has anyone delved into these policy specifics? What happens when the system upgrades are needed but aren't in place, how are things prioritized? Devil's in the details with these things.

Set aside the obvious moral arguments for a second, there’s a huge economic cost to road fatalities and injuries. Bikes are an economic miracle, e-bikes are a lever on that miracle, and in an era where we should be focused on economic efficiency and productivity, Build! Baby! Build! bike lanes.

The reporting on the BC Ferries contract award is verging on journalistic malpractice. So many stories calling out the government for not building them in BC or Canada, and just glossing over the fact that there were no bids from Canadian shipyards. [1/2]

A bunch of friends were excited about a new restaurant in town. That is, until they realized the entire website’s assets, including photos of the food, were AI generated. AI is a tempting shortcut, but used poorly, it devalues your brand and sells your business short.
